Just days after South East Queensland was witness to a spectacular celestial display, Brisbane has the fortune of sitting back to enjoy our favourite fireworks display with the annual Brisbane River Fire.



The Riverfire celebrations held on Saturday evening, September 1st, marks the beginning of Brisbane's Riverfestival, with stunning fireworks across the city, from the Story Bridge to the Victoria Bridge. Riverfestival aims to raise awareness of the health of the Brisbane river system, the impact of climate change on our planet and the importance of sustainability as our water supplies continue to fall.



The day's activities kick off with the Toowong Reach playing host to a sailing challenge at 3.30pm. The RAAF Roulettes will perform an aerobatic display for the crowd at South Bank around 5.30pm, with the main event starting at 7pm. To the delight of onlookers, the RAAF F-111s will again mark the start and finish of the Riverfire Spectacular.
