Community Celebrates Dentist Official Open Day!

The team at Jorgensen Mutzelburg Dental want to thank the Brisbane North and Pine Rivers "Hills" Communities for the wonderful response to our dental Open Day, marking the official opening of our modern dental practice at Everton Park. It was great to see so many families enjoying the services we had on offer. Assistant Minister for Immigration and Citizenship and Federal Member for Petrie, Teresa Gambaro, praised the family friendly team at Jorgensen Mutzelburg Dental for creating such a beautiful practice where patients can come and enjoy modern health services in a comfortable environment. The growing Brisbane and Pine Rivers suburbs of Everton Park, Everton Hills, McDowall, Bridgeman Downs and Albany Creek were well represented with many young families making the most of the beautiful day while learning more about how to achieve and maintain a perfect, healthy smile.

Ms Gambaro also spoke of the Federal Government's initiative to improve the dental health of the chronically ill in Australia. The dentists at Jorgensen Mutzelburg Dental work closely with the surrounding general medical practitioners to provide this community service made available through Medicare. This is an unprecedented step by the Federal Government, which allows eligible patients to receive subsidised treatment through private dentists rather than having to sit on waiting lists in the over-stretched public dental system or go without. People do not need a health care card to make use of this service, as it is available to all people who have a chronic medical condition and complex care needs being managed by a general practitioner (GP).
